This is a milestone episode that may have hit months ago if it hadn't been for some lost or bad quality recordings, me not performing as host or just down right failed. Nonetheless this is 300! I sat down at Western Hunt Fest with Heath and Lindsay of On Track Big Game Recovery and talk the service they offer here in Colorado. Unfortunately it happens when tracking a hit animal blood goes thin, the weather turns or the shot wasn't as lethal as we thought. One of the ugliest truths as a hunter, we can't find our animal! You've put in the work all year, trekked around the mountain and found elk, staying focused, setting up and finishing is all that's in front of you and a notched tag, unfortunately this is where most folks miss the opportunity. I sat down with Big O, Gilbert Ornelas and discuss "the finish". Gil knows a thing or two about putting it together in those final moments. We get into set ups, assessing shooting lanes, staying focused on the mission and target, getting in the bulls "shit kitchen" and shot placement that'll have 'em "grave yard dead" in sight.
